Morning Travels and the Law Class
Region Hopping: Your morning involved extensive travel. You visited "Word's End" in the Tabary region, collected rules from the Haus der Zwei Winde in Abbas Way, and explored Boswell Pass (Hibari), Silver Forest, Crimson Rose II, City of Rovere, and the City of Turia.
The Assassin's Memorial: While in Hibari, you came across a "Memorial Runestone" playing a poetic, solemn tribute to a fallen assassin of the Black Caste ("Brother of shadow, friend of the night...").
The Venna Library: You spent significant time in VennaCity, gathering a massive amount of reading material from their libraries. This included dozens of texts on Gorean cities, slave rules and serves, low caste descriptions (Thieves, Slavers, Bakers, etc.), free women's etiquette, and various legal codes.
Law Class with Abraham: You attended Abraham Jacobson's class on Gorean law. He detailed the complexities of being a Magistrate, explaining how they must balance City Laws, Merchant Laws, Initiate Laws, and Caste Codes. He also discussed the seven types of Magistrates (High Magistrate, Merchant Magistrate Judges, Prefects, Praetors, Archons, Aediles, and Quaestors) and promised that future classes would cover investigations and mock trials.
Afternoon Tavern Banter
The "Jerk" Complaint: You arrived at the tavern in Lara and ordered a "Fire Paga" from Erik, explaining that you needed a strong drink because someone in another sim was being a jerk. You explained that this person (a former friend) was aggressively nitpicking a document you had referenced, failing to realize it was just a case study example, not a strict canonical scroll.
Gossip and Games: The tavern filled up with locals, including Devan, Quinn, Pandora, Uhtred, and Zack. The conversation bounced between discussing a naked musician who was arrested and whether Musicians had immunity from collaring. Pandora also promoted a "CTF" (Capture the Flag) game happening in Tharna.
Housing Updates: You updated the group on your housing situation, mentioning that Niran had swapped out the larger house on your plot for a smaller one you preferred, freeing up some of your 150 prim allowance.
Whip Radio Party: The evening shifted into a music party hosted by Jay Sparrowtree on "Gorean Whip Radio." The group listened to an eclectic mix of music and audio clips, including Star Trek parodies, Deep Purple, Dolly Parton, and Monty Python, joking about the "pants-less" second hour of the tavern night.
Evening Purchases
The Mailbox: After the party wrapped up and you logged back in later, you visited the "FREEDOM CREATIONS STORE" in CaveTech. You purchased and unpacked the "Medieval mailbox 2.0," placing it at your home in Lara II to collect notecards.
